NASA's Space Shuttle Endeavour, perched atop a modified Boeing 747-100 airliner, takes off from the Departure/Arrival Airfield Control Group at Biggs Army Airfield, Texas, Sept. 20, 2012. The Endeavour has been decommsioned and was making its way across country to Edwards Air Foce Base, before moving to its permanent retirement home at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
