Maj. Gen. Karen E. Dyson's brother and cousins, all in the military, participated in her promotion ceremony by unfurling her two-star flag. The ceremony was held at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. Dyson has been selected to be the director for Army Budget, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management & Comptroller). She is the first female Army Finance Corps officer to achieve the rank of major general.
