$31.5 million RCI privatized housing project provides tornado safe rooms, more space for families

Every unit will have a tornado safe room incorporated in the downstairs half bath, Richard Cole Balfour Beatty Communities project director said. The safe room is put in first ahead of everything else and is a completely separate structure in the house with a steel door and steel casing all around the perimeter and top of the unit.
