U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program race walker Staff Sgt. John Nunn races past Buckingham Palace in London during the 50k race walk competition, Aug. 11, 2012. Nunn came in 43rd place after posting a time of 4:03:28, a new personal best. Russia's Sergey Kirdyapkin won the gold medal with a new Olympic record time of 3:35:59. Thirteen athletes did not finish the grueling competition.
