'Wolverine' medics train Afghan counterparts to perform proper life-saving skills

Pfc. Michelle Shinafelt instructs soldiers of the Afghan National Army as part of a "train-the-trainer" Combat Life Saver course, in Paktika Province, Afghanistan. The course trained a 19 Afghan National Army soldiers and Afghan Uniformed Police officers to lead CLS courses in their units across Paktika Province. Shinafelt, a Florida native, was the primary instructor for the course, which was led by the medics of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.
