Rwandan Defense Force soldiers and policemen discuss staff officer roles and responsibilities at a command post exercise seminar held June 11-22, 2012, in Rwanda. Maj. Timothy Amerson, Task Force Raptor, 3rd Squadron, 124th Cavalry Regiment, Texas Army National Guard, attended the seminar to exchange best practices on the subject. The Texas National Guardsmen participate in various military-to-military training sessions in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, whose mission is to strengthen partner nation military capacity in East Africa.
