The Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III (left), answers a question from a commander of Fort Bragg about suicide prevention during his visit as part of conducting a Health of the Force assessment at the Fort Bragg Club July 23, 2012. Gen. Austin, along with Lt. Gen. Michael Ferriter, commander (right), U.S. Army Installation Management Command, and assistant chief of staff for installation management, as well as his counterparts, are looking at programs, services, resources and best practices pertaining to the health of the force. The week-long trip, Gen. Austin said, is an effort to see firsthand the impact of Army best practices, and to also see where the Army may need to apply more resources or affect policy changes.
