Paul Bosscher, from Harris Robotics, helps Mason Clements operate the company's Red Hawk system. The system uses haptic manipulation to control robotic arms, which will allow greater freedom for Soldiers to disarm improvised explosive devices from safe distances. The 2012 Robotics Rodeo held at Fort Benning, Ga., June 20-29, 2012, allowed manufacturers to showcase the latest robotics technology designed to defeat battlefield threats, especially improvised explosive devices.
