Saluting the Colors

Col. Gregory D. Gadson became the first Army double amputee to command the garrison at Fort Belvoir, Va. Gadson, who lost his legs to an improvised explosive device in Iraq in 2007 asked to remain on active duty after receiving next-generation powered prosthetic knees. He previously commanded the Army Wounded Warrior Program. Saluting the colors with Gadson (right) are Lt. Gen.
