Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, vice chief of staff of the Army, addresses a crowd gathered Friday at the Salmon Run Mall in Watertown, N.Y., where community leaders at the local and state level expressed their continued support for the Soldiers and Family Members of Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain Division (LI) during an Army Community Covenant renewal signing ceremony. Austin served as commanding general of Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain Division (LI) from 2003 to 2005.
