Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III and Secretary of the Army John M. McHugh straighten the bow on the Army's 237th birthday wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns, Arlington National Cemetery, Va., June 14, 2012. The Army was created by the First Continental Congress on this date in 1775 by authorizing enlistment of Soldiers to serve the United Colonies for one year. A congressional resolution stood up 10 companies of riflemen.
