Saluting World War II Veterans on the 68th Anniversary of D-Day

Under Secretary of the Army Joseph W. Westphal pays homage to World War II veterans during a reception in honor of World War II veterans, in advance of a "Twilight Tattoo" ceremony, June 6, 2012 at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va. The event was held in conjunction with the 68th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy, France, June 6, 1944. The theme of the ceremony was "Saluting World War II Veterans on the 68th Anniversary of D-Day". Twilight Tattoo is an hour-long military pageant featuring Soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own."
