Army Salutes D-Day Vets at Twilight Tattoo

A World War Two veteran jumps out of his chair and joins a member of the U.S. Army Band 'Downrange' during the U.S. Army Military District of Washington's Twilight Tattoo, performed by Soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall's Summerall Field, in Arlington Va., June 6, 2012. Under Secretary of the Army Joseph W. Westphal hosted the show and invited a number of World War II veterans to view the performance as a salute to their service on the 68th anniversary of D-Day, the Allied invasion of France, June 6, 1944.
