Chandler III shares his philosophy on what it means to be an Army professional with attendees of the Basic Officer Leadership Course Conference June 5, 2012, at Fort Eustis, Va. Chandler emphasized senior enlisted expectations of new officers, challenging leaders to reinforce to their Soldiers that Soldiers are professionals 24 hours a day, seven days a week; on or off duty, the Warrior Ethos and the Army Values are the measuring sticks of conduct. The conference, hosted by U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command's Initial Military Training Center of Excellence, serves as an information exchange venue to assist BOLC and Warrant Officer Basic Course leaders in the continued development of programs.
