FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - Capt. Marcus Tukel wears a Canadian patch, which indicates his service in the Canadian Armed Forces, during the U.S. Army North Military Personnel Exchange Program conference May 17. Tukel is currently serving as an exchange instructor in Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada. Twenty-one American Army officers and noncommissioned officers, currently serving in military positions in the Canadian Armed Forces, spent a week at Army North from May 14-18 to assess the military personnel exchange program and for "re-greening," an annual process so they can get caught up on training, medical and dental care, take an Army physical fitness test, get their Department of the Army photos, get replacement uniforms and equipment, and many other garrison support functions.
