Three representatives from the Girl Scouts at Camp Zama, one Scout mother, and the command sergeant major of U.S. Army Garrison Japan wait to receive their citation from the Japan Good Deed Association during a ceremony held May 27, 2012, at the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo. The Girl Scouts were recognized for their efforts during "Operation Backpacks," a donation drive they initiated to collect items to send to children displaced by the earthquake and tsunami that struck northeast Japan on March 11, 2011.
