1st Lt. Rosanna Vasquez Brown hugs her brother, Capt. Martin Vasquez, and her daughter, Elisa at Campbell Army Airfield. Over the last five years, either Rosanna; her husband; her brother, Staff Sgt. Francisco Vasquez (not pictured); and her other brother Martin have been either been deployed or away on a training mission so they could not meet together as one family. At one point, a 10-minute helicopter ride separated Rosanna from her husband and brother, Francisco. "When the rest of us have been able to get together, someone is always missing from the picture," Francisco said. Francisco, now stationed at Fort Campbell, returned last month from Iraq, where he served as a flight medic. He flew over 300 combat hours and was responsible for the care and safety of more than 700 patients. Brother Martin served in Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
