Women's History Month Observance 2012

FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii - The 18th Medical Command hosted an annual Women's History Month Observance at Fort Shafter 's Hale Ikena March 21. Soldiers wore an historical array of uniforms, each one representing the role of women in the Army during various eras. Pictured here from left, Staff Sgt. Taysia Jackson, 18th MEDCOM, represents Soldiers of the present day, Spc. Shaquetta McDonald, 18th MEDCOM, represents Operation Desert Storm, Spc.Pfc. Tyesha Reed, 40th Quartermaster represents the Army of the 1980s and Operation Just Cause, Spc. Rosa Lee, 311th Signal Command (Theater), represents the post-Vietnam era, Sgt. 1st Class Sophia Moxley, 18th MEDCOM, wears a uniform from the Korean War, and Cpl.
