Brig. Gen. Stephen Leisenring presents retired Master Sgt. Givens Forsythe a brick symbolizing the men and women who have served in the Long Barracks since its construction in 1885 as part of the barracks ribbon-cutting ceremony March 27 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The brick was collected from the barracks during its $25 million renovation over the last two years. Leisenring is the former commander of the Mission and Installation Contracting Command, and Forsythe served in the Long Barracks in 1939.
