Preserving legacy of African-American Soldiers

George Hardy's African-American military memorabilia collection began with items from his father's World War II service, then progressed to scouring the Internet and flea markets for items. He purchased and traded for photos, unit insignias, uniform pieces, unit yearbooks and day-to-day items that would have been found inside a Soldier's footlocker.
