Army brings prototype scout vehicle to Chicago Auto Show

The prototype Clandestine Extended Range Vehicle on display at the Chicago Auto Show is a light-weight, diesel-electric hybrid with a "silent run" capability. The new "green" vehicle was developed by the Army's Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center, located in Warren, Mich., in cooperation with California-based Quantum Technologies.
