First African-American Fort Myer commander still considers post home

Then Col. Harvey D. Williams attends a swimming pool ribbon cutting ceremony during his tenure as post commander at Fort Myer, Va. He was post commander from 1975 to 1977. Williams was the first African-American to hold the commander's position at Fort Myer and what became Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall.
