Racing to Save Coho

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fisheries Biologist Ben White hands a net filled with coho salmon to an assistant who will race down the banks of Salmon Creek to deposit the fish into the water. A series of natural and human-induced factors have contributed to decline in the coho population in the Russian River and recovery efforts included a captive broodstock program with eventual release into the wild.
