FORT CARSON, Colo. " Major General David G. Perkins hands the 4th Infantry Division colors to Lt. Gen. Howard B. Bromberg, deputy commanding general and chief of staff, U.S. Army Forces Command, relinquishing his position as the commander of the 4th Inf. Div. and Fort Carson during a change of command ceremony at Founders Field, Nov. 16, 2011. Bromberg served as the reviewing officer for the ceremony. The act of passing the colors is symbolic of the passing of the command authority from an outgoing commander to his replacement. With the passing of the colors, Maj. Gen. Joseph Anderson assumed responsibility for the units and Soldiers of Fort Carson.
