Rapid Equipping Force Partners With D.C. High School

Members of the Ballou High School Robotics Team, Washington, D.C., will participate in the 2008 Chesapeake FIRST Regional Robotics Competition March 13-15 in Annapolis, Md. Scientists and engineers of the Army’s Rapid Equipping Force have mentored the students as they prepared for the robotics competition. During the competition, the Ballou High School team will compete against more than 60 others to design and build a robot that picks up a 40-inch ball and navigates around a track both autonomously and under radio control.
