The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Campus East project at Fort Belvoir North, Va., is part of a roughly $3.5 billion investment at the installation. The new facility will allow for the closing of NGA sites in Bethesda, Md., Reston, Va., and the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C., in addition to the relocation of smaller NGA functions. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District managed the design and construction of the $1.7 billion project as part of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure program.
