Lisa Charbonneau (right), a 4-H volunteer archery instructor, teaches Amy Baldwin, 7, how to properly hold and shoot an arrow during the N.Y. National Guard Family and Youth Training Workshop, April 16, 2011. The N.Y. National Guard Youth program provides support and skills training in leadership, mentoring and resource coordination that reflect the unique needs of military children. The program provides safe activities and a place to meet, talk and have fun with other military children while addressing deployment issues, such as separation anxiety, increased responsibility and reintegration when a loved one returns home.
