Afghan firefighters conduct first live burn at KAF

A Rapid Intervention Team of Soldiers from the 323rd Engineer Detachment adjusts their fire protective equipment during a live-burn training exercise, March 11, 2011, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The RIT, deployed from the 507th Firefighting Detachment, Fort Hood, Texas, served as a standby, non-playing entity, used to rescue downed firefighters, while the Afghan firefighters conducted training.
