CCP members load luggage for transport

Members of the U.S. Army Pacific Contingency Command Post arrive early March 29 for processing and transportation to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, where they will fly out to participate in exercise Balikatan 2011 in the Republic of the Philippines. The USARPAC CCP is a scalable command post designed to rapidly deploy to low- and medium-sized contingencies, which can include anything from a natural disaster to peace-enforcement missions. Balikatan 2011 is the 27th in a series of combined, joint efforts between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and United States military. The goal of these exercises is to maintain military readiness through training and relationship-building between the two countries.
