Col. Arnold P. Montgomey, chief of staff, Joint Munitions Command, recalls the significance of the 75 mm artillery shell he presents to Mr. Shelby Harris. The 75 mm artillery shell was commonly used during World War II. During the war effort, the shell was produced by Kingsbury Ordnance Plant in LaPorte, Ind., some five and a half hours north of Harris' hometown of Ayrshire, Ind.
