New York National Guard Chaplain's Story Told in New Video

NEW YORK CITY-- NewYork Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia dedicates the statue of Father Francis Duffy, the World War I chaplain of the New York Army National Guard's 1st Battalion 69th Infantry in Times Square on May 2, 1937. He died on June 27,1932 and his death was mourned city-wide. The area around his statue in Times Square is now known as Duffy Square.
