Dr. Ed Jackson Jr, executive architect for the Washington, DC, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, Inc., takes a standing-room only crowd through a virtual tour of the national monument in honor of Dr. King, set to open this year. The event was Wednesday, Jan. 12 at Fort Myer's Spates Community Club and was a collaboration between equal opportunity offices of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations and Andrew Rader U.S. Army Health Clinic. Special guest speaker was Jim Lucas, advocate of Dr. King's philosophy of nonviolent civil action to effect social change. Mr. Lucas has done performances of Dr. King's speeches -- "I have a Dream," the Letter from Birmingham Jail, others -- in dramatic one-man shows.
