RDECOM's Dr. Teresita Sotomayor, a scientist at the Simulation and Training Technology Center and Sgt 1st Class Jennifer Jordan demonstrate how the HemSim medical training prototype works during the world's largest simulation conference held in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 29 to Dec. 2. The prototypes may not look pretty, but they could become the Army's first realistic devices that give medics and combat lifesavers hands-on training in how to stop non-extremity wounds from hemorrhaging.
