Sgt. Danli Samonte, C Battery, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, proudly shows the tattoo which took his father, a former Soldier, almost 200 hours to complete. The tattoo is a tradition passed down from father-to-son in Samonte's family. Samonte was injured in an improvised explosive device and is undergoing physical therapy before being returned to his unit. The tattoo reminds him that all accomplishments are not without some pain.
