Sgt. Anthony Mink, an infantryman with Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, studies Field Manual 3-21.75 (The Warrior Ethos and Soldier Combat Skills). Mink is a two-time veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was awarded the Bronze Star for his work there. Mink, who is also Ranger qualified, hopes to one day teach at the U.S. Military Academy. Mink’s company commander, Capt. Jonathan Westbrook, told Mink — who led more than 300 patrols — he would make a great officer.
