Corps parks and volunteers celebrate, improve public lands
NEW HOGAN LAKE, Calif. -- Volunteers and Corps park rangers help unload trash from a boat and unto a truck during National Public Lands Day here Sept. 25. Nearly 200 volunteers were out at the lake, planting trees, picking up trash and improving trails during the 17th annual National Public Lands Day. New Hogan was one of eight U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District recreation parks that participated in the event. "
