TRADOC briefs FORSCOM on new Army Operating Concept

FORT McPherson, Ga. (Sept. 7, 2010)--Lt. Col. Mark Elfendahl briefed members of U.S. Army Forces Command as part of a "road show" to provide information on the new Army Operating Concept developed by U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. The AOC describes how the Army will fight in 2016 top 2028. Elfendahl explained how it will guide revisions in army doctrine, organizations, training, material, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities. The FORSCOM attendees, led by Maj. Gen. Mark Graham, FORSCOM G3, listened with interest and asked questions, in particular with regard to how the AOC will affect readiness and Army Force Generation. Elfendahl is the chief of the Joint and Army Concepts Division at TRADOC'S Army Capabilities Integration Center
