Former Iranian hostage shares insights in getting through tough times

Soldiers, Civilian employees and their Families gathered in the basement of the Fort McPherson Chapel Center Aug. 17 to hear retired colonel Charles Scott speak about his 444 days spent as a hostage in Iran during the Iranian hostage crisis in 1979. Scott came to the installation as part of the U.S. Army Garrison Chaplain’s Office staff’s leadership luncheon series, where speakers share their thoughts on leadership. Scott also shared his thoughts on dealing with and overcoming adversity.
