Yearlings from 6th Company completed the Water Confidence Course July 1 at Camp Buckner. The Class of 2013 were required to climb the 80-foot tower and descend across Lake Popolopen by a hand trolley for a dive into the water. The cadets also mustered balance and confidence to walk across a steel beam, during which they must go up and over two steps, before eventually hanging down the cable for another drop into the lake. With Cadet Field Training for the Class of 2013 well underway, the yearlings are challenged with numerous skill-testing activities, including the water confidence course, first responder training, land navigation and patrolling.
