Lieutenant Gen. Benjamin R. Mixon, commanding general, U.S. Army Pacific, thanks artist Judie Feingold on behalf of Army units serving on Hawaii for her crafted artwork, the "Lost Heroes Art Quilt," during a ceremony honoring the sacrifices of military service members from each state at the Hawaii State Capitol Rotunda, Honolulu, July 21. The quilt honors the sacrifice of fallen military service members of each of the Nation's 50 states with cutout photo portraits of the fallen heroes as children clad in "G.I. Joe" cloth jackets to represent the timeless spirit of the memory of their families. Feingold created the piece through an effort to honor the memories of fallen military heroes through a more personal form. "This work seeks to bring our bravest Americans to life by allowing viewers a glimpse into each of their personalities, plans and dreams," said Feingold. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Jesus J.
