George Schuhbaum grazes his sheep in the Hohenfels training area, June 10. Schuhbaum, 76, has been grazing his flock in the training area for more than 45 years. The U.S. Army Garrison Hohenfels Department of Public Works Environmental Division uses sheep as one of their environmental management tools, directing the herds to specific areas to help keep the grass low and stimulate new plant growth, a benefit for the environment which also improves visibility conditions for troops using the area's roads.
