Alaska Guard Soldiers Protect the Homeland

A fire direction center team in the Alaska Army National Guard's 49th Missile Defense Battalion runs through a simulated training exercise to test its procedures Aug. 9. Three five-man cells work eight-hour shifts at the center. During their shifts, crews run through required training and work through scenarios written to challenge their procedures and stress levels.
