Ward discusses partnership in Botswana

GABORONE, Botswana - Colonel M.C. Mophuting, commandant of the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) Training Establishment, and Col. Baatweng, BDF chief of protocol greet Gen. William Ward, commander of U.S. Africa Command, upon his arrival in Gaborone, Botswana, April 28, 2010. During Ward's visit, the first since December 2007, he was scheduled to meet with senior military and civilian officials to discuss ongoing and future military-to-military and security cooperation engagements. The BDF conducted 40 mil to mil exercises last year making it one of the most active of U.S. Africa Command's partner nations.
