New Armed Forces Reserve Center Opens For Business

"Our military deserves the very best in training, equipment, technology facilities, BASOPS support, and everything that contributes to success on and off the battlefield." said Maj. Gen. William Monk III, commanding general for the 99th Regional Support Command at the Fort Detrick Armed Forces Reserve Center ribbon cutting ceremony. The $14-million, 58,600-square-foot Armed Forces Reserve Center and its accompanying Organizational Maintenance Facility located on Fort Detrick's Area B will be the home to the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion; Alpha Company, Detachment 1, 392nd Signal Battalion; 21st and 27th Military History Detachments.
