USACE manages military construction in support of Israeli Air Force

Contractors put the finishing touches on a $5.5 million, 175,000-square-foot headquarters building at Tel Nof Air Base for the Israeli Air Force's MANAT squadron, also known as the 601 Squadron - one of the most elite in the IAF. The Manat unit is responsible for flight and weapons testing, airframe modification and avionics integration. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District is managing construciton on the project. Construction will be complete by spring 2010.
