BodyYOUNTVILLE,CA--Memorabilia from the life of Retired Master Sgt. Alejandro Ruiz, including the Medal of Honor he earned while serving with the New York Army National Guard's 1st Battalion 69th Infantry on Okinawa during World War II are laid out during a visit to his home by representatives of the 69th. The photographs include Ruiz and other medal winners meeting with President Harry S. Truman, Ruiz receiving his medal from President Truman, and the calling card he used in his later days. Ruiz Died at the Yountville Veterans Home in California in Nov. 2009.
