FORT CARSON, Colo. - Soldiers of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division's Rear Detachment finish strong on the final leg of a four-mile installation run Nov. 5, celebrating the courage and sacrifices of America's veterans. The rear detachment represented the 3rd BCT, which is currently deployed to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Calif. Maj. Gen. David G. Perkins, commanding general of the 4th Inf. Div. and Fort Carson, hosted the run for approximately 9,000 Soldiers, Airmen, Family members, veterans and Department of Defense civilians, to salute America's veterans and encourage Soldiers to remember their comrades fighting overseas.
