FORT CARSON, Colo. - Approximately 9,000 Soldiers, Airmen, Family members, and Department of Defense civilians participated in a four-mile installation run to celebrate the nation's veterans Nov. 5. The Mountain post Soldiers led by 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson Commanding General David G. Perkins began the run at Founder's Field and ended with a formation at Ironhorse Park for a short veteran's appreciation ceremony and pep-rally for the U.S. Military Academy Football Team, who played against the Air Force Academy team Nov. 7.
