FORT ROBINSON STATE PARK, Neb. - Sgt. John Husby, cavalry scout and lead rider of the Fort Carson Mounted Color Guard, assigned to Company A, Division Special Troops Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, takes aim and hits his mark while his steed, Staff Sgt. Blitz, stands ready to continue the course during the Bolte Cup at the National Cavalry Competition Finals Sept. 26. The Colt 45-70 Carbine was the preferred weapon of the 1870s dismounted cavalryman.
