Hispanic Americans in the U.S. Army
Hispanic-Americans have a proud record of military service, dating all the way back to the Revolutionary War. Whether their heritage can be traced to Spain, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico or one of the many other Spanish-speaking countries or cultures, they defended America with unwavering valor and honor. We celebrate their "Call to Duty" during Hispanic Heritage Month, from September 15 - October 15.

SYMBOLS AND INSIGNIA
Soldiers wear a wide assortment of insignia, ribbons, medals, badges, tabs and patches. To the uninitiated, the variety can be bewildering. Yet, each device represents a Soldier's accomplishment-or that of his or her unit- and is a great source of pride and accomplishment. This page identifies these devices, as well as the flags, streamers, guidons, and three versions of the U.S. Army's song, The Army Goes Rolling Along.
